- 1 -
Riding underneath the spell of the moon's cold light,
I heard the sound of footsteps echo through the night,
I felt the wind as it whispered past my sight,
I heard enchanted laughter.

- 2 -
Across the meadow, shimmering reflection,
Mirrored there I saw the tiniest man,
A golden fiddle tucked so neat beneath his chin,
I heard his tiny laughter.

Chorus:
Now I play and you listen friend,
Dance to the tune at your journey's end.
Leave this world, now you begin,
Fly with me tonight.

Bridge:
Over oceans soft with foam,
Mountains rolling green and gray,
Through the darkness, see him roam,
Listen, hear him play.

- 3 -
And as his music filled the midnight air,
I felt the wonder of the moment I was there,
As in a dream, his image was unclear,
But still I heard his laughter.

- 4 -
Across the meadow, the first hint of day,
Caught in his passion, he couldn't cease his play,
And ad the sun burst forth he faded away,
But still I heard his laughter.

Chorus:
Now I play and you listen friend,
Dance to the tune at your journey's end.
Leave this world, now you begin,
Fly with me tonight.
