The Calling of the Road

- chorus -
Hark to the calling of the road,
feel the dust beneath our feet at the first sigh of dawn.
Hark to the calling of the road,
when the sun reaches its zenith, look our way and we'll be gone.

- 1 -
Many miles and many roads have passed beneath our feet,
memories have filled our every day,
But there's none so wondrous, none so fair and none that sound so sweet,
as the one awaiting tomorrow's way.

- 2 -
Always looking forward down the road to the next bend,
anticipating what might lie ahead,
Yesterday's behind us and today draws to it's end,
the night will comfort us when day has fled.

- 3 -
Today is filled with living so we gather where we stand,
to rest awhile and put life into view.
The wonder of thii moment we hold precious in our hands,
like the drops of silver morning dew.
