Call Me to the Dance

we come from a land far beyond the shadows,
a place beyond time, created of dreams,
of promises made in those days long forgotten,
when hopes were no different than reality

into the deep of the unknown we journey,
across a new bridge into eternity,
to follow the footsteps of one with a vision,
beyond the dark shadows, again to be free

- 1 -
The new moon cast a sheen upon the meadow green,
The wind carries the sound of laughter through the trees.
Coming with the dawn the music lingers on,
Bringing forth a song of life upon the breeze.

- chorus -
Call me to the dance, come and take a chance,
Look beyond the blinders of my life.
What mysteries will unfold, what wonders to behold?
See beyond the shadows, beyond the lies.

- 2 -
Into the early dawn the music bids me come,
Leave behind my worries and my black despair,
Anger and my greed, these things I don't need,
Life can be as light as music on the air.

- 3 -
How often have I dared to cast aside my cares,
Drifting with the music beyond time and space?
Fill me with its song, carry me along,
Lift me far above this common earthly place.

- 4 -
Remember its a lie when they tell you not to try
To reach beyond the stars, beyond the galaxy.
Within you have the means to fashion your own dreams,
And decide upon your own reality.

- 5 -
Will you ride for free into eternity,
While the carnival of life has just begun?
What mask will you wear, the grey fox or the hare?
Will you be the hunter or the hunted one?

- 6 -
Will you follow blind, no matter what you find,
Believing in the trap that's set for all mankind?
There seems to be no end, but you can make it bend,
Step outside the game, outside the dance of time.
